One of them in the first shot looks like a peacock bass to me, but I'm no expert. Also that gar looks just like the ones I would see all the time in my dock lights at the mouth of the Escambia River, but who knows...

| If these are in your private tank......WOW ! Those are some real nice fish.... That one with the BIG teeth looks like a mullet on CRACK ! I'd love to have something like in my house, but can't imagine the time it takes to keep it up....

Twat Waffel, good job but the gar is a Florida Gar. The Payara is the true Hydrolycus armatus, very rare in the U.S. perhaps 75 have ever been imported. I just sold him for $600 (I turned down $1,000 as I did not think the buyer could handle such a fish) and I REALLY regret letting him go period. He was so bad ass, Ive keep over 30 piranha of eight different species and none could come close to how aggressive he is. He will just stare at you and follow you were ever you go in his tank! He would even eat from my hand, I think I'm the only person in the world to feed this species by hand. They are VERY difficult to get to eat anything but live fish, but I got him to accept anything and he eventually would take it from my hand!
The african tiger fish was a pussy and I sold him too. I just do rays now, hoping to breed them soon!
Here is picture of an adult H. armatus

An adult tiger fish, Hydrocynus vittatus

I have a Goliath Tiger Fish, but a friend has it right now, here is an adult

And here is the male ray that will be shipped to me when I get back from Pensacola Monday after next...this fish is actually in Tampa right now!

Some piranha I have kept

Thanks bud. Fish are EASY to keep. I spend less then 20 minutes a day on my tank, that nothing compared to a dog or cat!
These are all 100% freshwater, including the rays.
Here is a vid hand feeding the payara, he grabs it at the :15 mark from my hand. When he ate only live, watching him swoop up from below and impale goldfish with his massive bottom fangs was impressive!

And hand feeding the rays...I was on the phone so ignore me. These guys are COOL! They will come halfway out of the tank and just sit there begging for food. A TRUE underwater pet!

Dude - that is way cool...I think I'd be a bit nervous hand feeding a fish with barracuda dentures...Nice collection...
