First signs of life in the flats. Launched yak around 0730. Set up a nice drift with NE wind blowing pretty well. First 45 minutes or so not a single bite. Was working gulp about 18 inches under popping cork. That tactic was not working so started jigging, bumping slowly along bottom. Located fish at edge of flats in about 5-6 feet of water. Over next hour or so caught 10 specks 12-16 inches. Not great but hopefully an indication of much better things to come.

Thanks for the report, East or West of the pass?
