| My cousin (kbi_in_marietta) decided to come down and do some fishing for the upcoming 3-day weekend. Met my buddy Don Saturday morning and launched at 17th and proceeded to troll the west side of 3-mile heading towards Gulf Breeze. Nothing was biting so we headed towards the old coast guard station to continue trolling. Trolled from the station to the 2nd set of buoys in the pass with nothing to show for our efforts. We headed back towards fort pickens, dropped so gulps but still had no takers. We bounced our way back to 3-mile and finally found some nice bluefish around the bumpers. Messed around with them for about a half hour and then headed in for some lunch. AFter lunch, launched the boat in downtown Milton and chased speckled trout in Blackwater for a few hours. It turned out to be a beautiful day on the water. Left the dock around 6am sunday morning and headed towards baypoint on blackwater. Didnt have any takers so we proceeded to CAtfish basin and found a consistent trout bite. We eventually got tired of the wind so we headed back up river to find some calmer water. Started working some docks and got hammered. Nice fat 25" redfish in the boat. My cousin throws out and is immediately nailed also. Second redfish in the boat. Proceeded to boat 10 more reds in about a half hour. Kept two for dinner and all the rest were released unharmed. Back at the dock by 11am...

MOnday morning was breezy and a little cool but beautiful none the less. Didn't catch as many fish but still managed a few nice ones. It was a great weekend with friends and family.

I cant wait until spring......
When in doubt, set the hook...

| Good report and good to see some catching going on. Before I owned my own boat I used to rent one from the Navy Boat Docks on Blackwater and worked all those docks pretty well with good results. I am sure that dinner was good.
