| i can not find an evinrude bulb and tubing for my motor. i bought a universal set but it doesn't seem like it is priming fuel to the engine properly because i have to hold the tank upside down to get it to start. also it wont idle unless it has been running for a while which i assume is for the same reason. the spots where it connects is very tight so i doubt its that. the only reasoning i can find is the elbow going into the tank is loose but it was loose prior to replacing the bulb and did not have a problem and the bulb was even cracked. any help or comments would be appreciated.

the loose elbow is probably a swivel,, i have seen it many times,, if you put a new primer bulb on and it wont prime,, check the direction of flow on the bulb, if that is ok,, it is sucking air somewhere,, i would be glad to look at it for you,,,,
