Just got back to town from Maryland, visiting the In-laws over the 4th of July

Anyhow, saw the Conecuh Sausage place up in Evergreen, and after reading some of what folks on here had to say, I dropped in and made a purchase or 2...ok maybe 4 or 5 !

Anyhow, it can be ordered and shipped if you live out of the area.

online at www.conecuhsausage.com

phone in to 1-800-726-0507

Just thought some of ya'll would want to know !!

I've seen posts on here about it. Thought it was a special sausage (you know some exotic ingredient)...come to find out it is the company name and in county in Alabama where they are located.

I like Conecuh but I like Kelly's better! You can find it at "The Butcher Shop" over there by Lillian and Fairfield.

You can also find Conecuh at Food World where the lunch meats.

Kellys would walk ten miles barefoot through broken glass to have their name on one package of Conecuh Sausage.

big bump for elberta grocery. its not cheap but the cuts of meat are awesome. i spend way too much money at that place. i live right down the road. cut the sausage in half and brush some kraft honey bbq on 5 mins before you take it off the grill. make sure the bbq sauce is gooey and eat up. my dad was famous for adding ingretience to his bbq sauce and it was great but kraft honey is good right out of the bottle. my $.02

Cool Read.

Cook Conecuh and Kelley's at the same time side by side and watch how much Grease (Fat) comes out of each.   You won't buy Kelley's Anymore.  They both taste very good, but Conecuh is far less fatty than Kelley's is, and Conecuh cooks on the grill way better.  It's hard to keep from burning Kelley's because the almost constant flow of Grease the keeps the fire flaming up, that may be why the Conecuh taste better to me because it is easier to cook right.

2 pounds of Conecuh Sausage, 1 head of cabbage, 2 medium Vidalia onions chopped and 3 crook neck squash sliced. Fry it all up in the wok with some vitamin "G" (bacon grease). Cook a batch of corn bread and put on you loose pants.
ENJOY

Thanks alot guys!!!

Here I was ready to turn in for the night and thought "hey, I 'll check the Forum one last time before I go to bed."  Now I'm sitting here eating a Conecuh Sausage dawg made from some that I had left over from this weekend's cookout.  So much for eating lite.  I want ya'll to know that you're responsible for the extra gas that it's gonna cost me to keep the boat on plane while carrying my fat ass out to the edge this weekend!

Conecuh is good, but it has MSG in it. A lot of pre packaged foods do,but it surprised me to find out that it did.

They make GREAT bacon too.  I keep looking for it in town, but never find it.

One morning in deer camp up in Evergreen, not a single one of us got out the door after having a bacon breakfast followed by bacon desert with a side of bacon.  Mmmm conecuh bacon....

Anyone know where you can find that in Pcola?

I know the Sessions family that owns Conecuh and besides the fact that they make great meats they are some top notch down to earth people.  Super friendly and would do anything for anyone.  I hunt off exit 96 and have been lucky to have Conecuh sausage almost every day up there since I can remember.  The factory is neat to check out, but you won't get deep discounts there like you may think.  They really look out for the "mom & pops" that carry their brand so they won't undercut their retailers at the factory.  Just wanted to let everyone know before someone decides to plan a day trip to Evergreen.  And for the record, I would choose conecuh over any other sausage.  They've come out with a ton more flavors too recently.

I was raised in Beulah, right down the street from Thompsons Meat Market, where they make the best sausage Ive ever tasted. I like Conecuh...and eat it often, but  Thompsons and Conecuh run neck in neck. But Thompsons is local right here in good ole pcola.
