There we were a quarter mile off the West jetty having a good ole' time.  Next thing you know...the clicker on my Calcutta 200 starts SCREAMING, the flight was on.  Before I could get the rod out of the rod holder I was almost spooled!!!!!!!  My girlfriend attempted to pull in the anchor with not much luck.  (I have to do everything.) NOW the fight is on.  My girlfriend takes the rod.  The shark takes us from outside the jetty into the pass with speed boats, jet skis and all the other yahoo's that were in the way.  Like an expert, my girlfriend handles my pole.  Ha, ha, ha, running circles around the boat...the shark works us for 45 minutes.  These pictures are the fruits of our labor.

Released to swim again...even with all the blood.

Price of a cell phone in the "drink": $200.00

Price of a Afco gaff: $100.00

Price of seeing my girlfriend riding my pole: priceless...

That's a good eatin' size un right there!!!  good pics....next time hit enter after every pic so they load up and down, not side to side....

Learn to post like the pro's from the Official PFF Po-Po!

Because our family is growing every day, newer folks should learn to post their threads w/ pics correctly without having to click on each picture

This does not work w/ all browsers...Those not using Internet Explorer may have to go to a photo gallery of sorts to load their pics...  you can use this free photo gallery by PFF : http://www.forumpictureprocessor.com/pictureprocessor/default.asp?reason=You%20Are%20Logged%20Out!

Step 1: When in your body of the thread look at the bar above that looks like this :::            IFCode

Step 2:  Click on the icon that looks like

Step 3:  A new window will open up and click BROWSE to find your pic, then up load it.

Step 4:  If your are posting more then 1 pic, after every picture finishes loading hit the enter button to move the cursor back to the far left (underneath the last picture poster) so pictures will not load side by side taking up more area (having to scroll right to read and see pics)

Step 5:  When you are finished loading your pics and your body of your thread is complete, post it

POSTING YOUTUBE VIDEO's:  (compliments of jim t)

When you post, at the bottom of the window there are two buttons saying "Design" and "HTML" . I write my post, when I want to insert the video I switch to "HTML" then paste the "Embed code" off the youtube page, then switch back to "design" When you switch into "HTML" you'll get some wierd coding on what you have already posted, but when you switch back to "Design" it will apperar normal and the video will pop up.

Okie,

Get your GF a Rod Belt, I would hate to see her in pain , from a rod butt.

Now , lets see some more pics of the GF.

So where is the pic of the shark...I didn't see it in any of the pics.

JK...nice fish.  I have always wanted to catch a shark. Have come close to landing a few bull sharks in the bay but haven't closed the deal yet.

i droped the phone over the side trying to pull the anchor and hand off the rod, and when i went to release the shark i caught the gaff on my thigh and it went into the drink i couldnt grab it and hold the fish so i figured i would revive the fish and just buy a new gaff.
