SUPREME COURT'S SOUTER TELLS OBAMA TO PRODUCE BIRTH CERTIFICATE

At this point, Supreme Court Justice David Souter's Clerk informed Philip J. Berg, the lawyer who brought the case against Obama, that his petition for an injunction to stay the November 4th election was denied, but the Clerk also required the defendants to respond to the Writ of Certiorari (which requires the concurrence of four Justices) by December 1. At that time, Mr. Obama must present to the Court an authentic birth certificate, after which Mr. Berg will respond.

If Obama fails to do that, it is sure to inspire the skepticism of the Justices, who are unaccustomed to being defied. They will have to decide what to do about a president-elect who refuses to prove his natural-born citizenship.

"I can see a unanimous Court (en banc) decertifying the election if Obama refuses to produce his birth certificate," says Raymond S. Kraft, an attorney and writer. "They cannot do otherwise without abandoning all credibility as guardians of the Constitution. Even the most liberal justices, however loathe they may have to do this, still consider themselves guardians of the Constitution. The Court is very jealous of its power - even over presidents, even over presidents-elect."

Also remember that on December 13, the Electoral College meets to casts its votes. If it has been determined that Mr. Obama is an illegal alien and therefore ineligible to become President of the United States , the Electors will be duty-bound to honor the Constitution.

Anyone would think we had just elected a hip, skinny and youthful replacement for God, with a plan to modernize Heaven and Hell - or that at the very least John Lennon had come back from the dead.

The swooning frenzy over the choice of Barack Hussein Obama as President of the United States must be one of the most absurd waves of self-deception and swirling fantasy ever to sweep through an advanced civilization. At least Mandela-worship - its nearest equivalent - is focused on a man who actually did something.

I really don't see how the Obama devotees can ever in future mock the Moonies, the Scientologists or people who claim to have been abducted in flying saucers. This is a cult like the one which grew up around Princess Diana, bereft of reason and hostile to facts.

It already has all the signs of such a thing. The newspapers which recorded Obama's victory have become valuable relics. You may buy Obama picture books and Obama calendars and if there isn't yet a children's picture version of his story, there soon will be.

Proper books, recording his sordid associates, his cowardly voting record, his astonishingly militant commitment to unrestricted abortion and his blundering trip to Africa, are little-read and hard to find.

If you can believe that this undistinguished and conventionally Left-wing machine politician is a sort of secular savior, then you can believe anything. He plainly doesn't believe it himself. His cliché-stuffed, PC clunker of an acceptance speech suffered badly from nerves. It was what you would expect from someone who knew he'd promised too much and that from now on the easy bit was over.

He needn't worry too much. From now on, the rough boys and girls of America's Democratic Party apparatus, many recycled from Bill Clinton's stained and crumpled entourage, will crowd round him, to collect the rich spoils of his victory and also tell him what to do, which is what he is used to.

Just look at his sermon by the shores of Lake Michigan. He really did talk about a ‘new dawn', and a ‘timeless creed' (which was ‘yes, we can'). He proclaimed that ‘change has come'. He revealed that, despite having edited the Harvard Law Review, he doesn't know what ‘enormity' means. He reached depths of oratorical drivel never even plumbed by our own Mr. Blair, burbling about putting our hands on the arc of history (or was it the ark of history?) and bending it once more toward the hope of a better day (Don't try this at home).

I am not making this up. No wonder that awful old hack Jesse Jackson sobbed as he watched. How he must wish he, too, could get away with this sort of stuff.

And it was interesting how the President-elect failed to lift his admiring audience by repeated - but rather hesitant - invocations of the brainless slogan he was forced by his minders to adopt against his will - ‘Yes, we can'. They were supposed to thunder ‘Yes, we can!' back at him, but they just wouldn't join in.

No wonder. Yes we can what exactly? Go home and keep a close eye on the tax rate, is my advice. He'd have been better off bursting into ‘I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony' which contains roughly the same message and might have attracted some valuable commercial sponsorship.

Perhaps, being a Chicago crowd, they knew some of the things that 52.5 per cent of America prefers not to know. They know Obama is the obedient servant of one of the most squalid and unshakeable political machines in America. They know that one of his alarmingly close associates, a state-subsidized slum landlord called Tony Rezko, has been convicted on fraud and corruption charges.

They also know the US is just as segregated as it was before Martin Luther King - in schools, streets, neighborhoods, holidays, even in its TV-watching habits and its choice of fast-food joint. The difference is that it is now done by unspoken agreement rather than by law.

If Mr. Obama's election had threatened any of that, his feel-good white supporters would have scuttled off and voted for John McCain, or practically anyone. But it doesn't. Mr. Obama, thanks mainly to the now-departed grandmother he alternately praised as a saint and denounced as a racial bigot, has the huge advantages of an expensive private education. He did not have to grow up in the badlands of useless schools, shattered families and gangs which are the lot of so many young black men of his generation.

If the nonsensical claims made for this election were true, then every positive discrimination program aimed at helping black people into jobs they otherwise wouldn't get should be abandoned forthwith. Nothing of the kind will happen. On the contrary, there will probably be more of them.

And if those who voted for Obama were all proving their anti-racist nobility, that presumably means that those many millions who didn't vote for him were proving themselves to be hopeless bigots. This is obviously untrue.

I was in Washington DC the night of the election. America's beautiful capital has a sad secret. It is perhaps the most racially divided city in the world, with 15th Street - which runs due north from the White House - the unofficial frontier between black and white.

But, like so much of America, it also now has a new division, and one which is in many ways much more important. I had attended an election-night party in a smart and liberal white area, but was staying the night less than a mile away on the edge of a suburb where Spanish is spoken as much as English, plus a smattering of tongues from such places as Ethiopia, Somalia and Afghanistan.

As I walked, I crossed another of Washington's secret frontiers. There had been a few white people blowing car horns and shouting, as the result became clear. But among the Mexicans, Salvadorans and the other Third World nationalities, there was something like ecstasy.

They grasped the real significance of this moment. They knew it meant that America had finally switched sides in a global cultural war. Forget the Cold War, or even the Iraq War. The United States, having for the most part a deeply conservative people, had until now just about stood out against many of the mistakes which have ruined so much of the rest of the world.

Suspicious of welfare addiction, feeble justice and high taxes, totally committed to preserving its own national sovereignty, unabashedly Christian in a world part secular and part Muslim, suspicious of the Great Global Warming panic, it was unique.

These strengths had been fading for some time, mainly due to poorly controlled mass immigration and to the march of political correctness. They had also been weakened by the failure of America's conservative party - the Republicans - to fight on the cultural and moral fronts.

They preferred to posture on the world stage. Scared of confronting Left-wing teachers and sexual revolutionaries at home, they could order soldiers to be brave on their behalf in far-off deserts. And now the US, like Britain before it, has begun the long slow descent into the Third World. How sad. Where now is our last best hope on Earth?

It has come to my attention that the Gulf Council is considering a new plan to manage both grouper and snapper, Under the new plan you would be allowed to take one legal Red Snapper and One Legal Grouper (any species). Any additional grouper or snapper would have to be turned over to federal authorities for redistribution to those less fortunate people that don't have a boat or unable to catch fish for themselves. In addition you will be forced to pay a tax of $4.00 per pound for all fish taken. The less fortunate people who receive the fish for redistribution will be given a $2.00 per pound rebate for all fish received. Of course you will be required to filet and vacuum pack all fish turned over for redistribution. The tax will be payed on the weight before cleaning.

I spent a couple days in Amsterdam last week. A lot of folks (at the bars) were anxious to talk about the election. They were happy about the result and felt the US had turned a corner. That struck me as odd, coming from a continent that had never elected a "minority" leader.

I thought to ask if there was any chance a black man could be elected Prime Minister of the Netherlands (Holland). They replied "No, but we have a lot fewer blacks..." I asked if a black man were in their "Senate" could he be elected PM, whether Holland, France, Germany, England, or wherever.

The response was a reluctant "No... probably not!"

So if it makes anybody feel anybody any better,

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent

Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!

It will never happen here? I bet the Aussies said that too!

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Aust ralian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans, befor e it's too late!

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind him of this history lesson.

Your (and Bernanke's) continued cheerleading and falsehoods have destroyed business and consumer confidence. Every time you open your mouth the market tanks, because you still have not decided to tell the truth. "Securitizing credit" is a pointless exercise until the excessive debt is defaulted, as there is no demand for additional credit when the consumer is tapped out and businesses are failing.

You continue to talk about increasing credit in the system when the cause of the problem in the first place was excessive credit creation.

YOU PERSONALLY lobbied Congress and The SEC to PERMIT that excessive credit creation, were rejected once in 2000, and in 2004 you came back as CEO of Goldman Sachs and GOT WHAT YOU WANTED - a policy change that WAS THE DIRECT AND PROXIMATE CAUSE OF THE MESS WE ARE NOW IN.

You have REFUSED to accept that responsibility and you continue to talk about "recovery" and "reform" but you and YOUR demands for removal of safeguards in 2000 and 2004 ARE WHY WE ARE HERE.

THERE IS NO SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM NOR WILL THE ECONOMY FIND A BOTTOM AND RECOVER UNTIL YOU STOP TRYING TO FEED A DRUNK WITH LIVER CANCER WHO IS PUKING UP BLOOD MORE BOOZE, AND IF YOU DON'T STOP THIS CRAP AND SOON THE DRUNK (OUR ECONOMY, OUR MONETARY SYSTEM AND POSSIBLY OUR POLITICAL SYSTEM) IS GOING TO DIE.

I love asparagus, so I'll use this for an example.

It takes years, about 2-3 to harvest it. So I start a patch that can feed my family. You live across the street from me. What right if any do you have to come into my yard and harvest what I have grown? Come on..we ALL know the answer.

Next year I decide to expand my patch, and lo and behold come harvest time I have more then my family can consume (I put in long hours and hard work), so I decide to bring some to the local market and sell it. Still keep in mind I have to tend the larger section for another 2-3 years. Hey I made a few bucks. Do you have a right to come into my patch and harvest some for yourself? Right same answer.

Now I decide to expand my patch even more, now I'm working 10 acres and have to wait another 2-3 years before I can harvest it. After harvest I once again go to market and sell my surplus. Now that I have the 10 acres, do you have a right to come into my field and take some? Yup, right again.

With everything going so well I decide to plant 1000 acres. Wait another 2-3 years to harvest, take my surplus to market, sell it and now that I've turned not only the asparagus into a nice cash crop, spent what 8-12 years of both my money, my sweat, and time, you are going to take my asparagus away from me. Because when you take the money, you are actually stealing my asparagus from me.

Sorry, something isn't right here. You sat on your ass for the last 8-12 years watching me bust my ass tending to my fields, (say without any government help) and NOW someone thinks that they have the right to take from me and give you and others some....refer to the very first question.

I make far less then $250,000.00, I have NO right, nor deserve any of that from those that do.

They seem to be concerned (now) with how much we really don't know about Obama.

I would like to predict that we are going to see big time Buyers Remorse over the next four years as
voters who voted for BO realize just what change he has in mind for America.

It should be interesting to see how well everyone appreciates having a Chicago Machine Politican running

This section was created to talk about politics. It has drifted pretty far from that. The Sara Palin thread is fixing to be gone. The content of that is EXACTLY what I am talking about. Remember, this is a PUBLIC forum. Chris created a Fishing Forum. Not your little private playground for bullshit. You want to discuss politics? Good! Debate is fine. Obama team creates non-profit corporation to help fund his transition into the Oval Office.

Though the campaign is over, President-elect Barack Hussein Obama is still soliciting contributions to help fund his move into the Oval Office, Politico reports.

The Obama team has created the Obama-Biden Transition Project, a non-profit corporation set up under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Service code, to help supplement the $6.3 million he will receive in taxpayer funds.

Contributions of up to $5,000-per-person can be made to the non-profit, and a source close to the situation told Politico Obama will not accept contributions from lobbyists or corporations.

Though past presidents have sought private donations to help fund their incoming administration, some warn of the implications that might result.

"You have to be very wary," Meredith McGehee, policy director for the Campaign Legal Center, told Politico. "Any time you have that combination of contributions and politicians, the opportunity to use that as a means of gaining access is a threat."

Former Federal Election Commission chairman Michael Toner told Politico private funds are needed to vet prospective appointees, study agencies and chart policy plans and to fund expenses the public money can’t be used for.

Politico reported that neither the Obama campaign nor a source close to the situation would say whether the non-profit would disclose information on its donors before Obama takes the oath of office.

The liberal side of Fox's "Brian and the Judge" show, Judge Andrew Napolitano's said because of the "[u]bias of the media[/u] most perceive Palin as having more gaffs and memory lapses than Biden when actually Biden won that battle easily".
Also by the Judge "She (Palin) is a very smart women. In her Debate face to face with Biden, most gave her the victory".

No way, you really think SNL, CNN, NBC, ABC, MS-NBC etc... are bias?
They are true journalist and wouldn't slant information.

Now Tom Brokov with liberal NBC raises doubts about who Obama really is.

I agree with those who point out major problems with the Dems and the GOP, might even need a third party, but if anyone thinks this is a fair fight they need to look a little deeper.
The reason a third party can't get any traction is because of the slanted media. DUH!
I think this should be a major concern for everyone (except liberal Dems, of course).
