My self and two other team mates will be making the trip and meeting up with a couple other guys from Louisiana. We should be set up some where close to the state park. If anyone is looking to fish that weekend, let me know. We will hit the beach sometime early saturday morning and fish hard till sunday. Hopefully, some nice sand bars will be around. Thanks.

-SA

? about tieing Pompano rigs

1 Does it make a different about the lenght of line from your first loop to the lead and the length from the 2 loop to the main line

2 what lenght do you try your loops
thanks for the help

Fish list

I was putting together a list of good eating fish that can be caught from the Surf, throughout the entire year.

I came up with this so far, am I leaving anything out?

redfish

whiting

pompano

black drum

some sharks, large stingrays

specks

A peek inside my Pompano box (not the jig box)

O.K. so I've explained the reason for different colored beads in a previous post. And then we would eliminate the lead. I have seen the flourecent pink and other colored ones in the tackle stores, but they are still painted lead. Don't you think if someone knows about resins or heating plastics into moulds with even a stone interior maybe would make a pretty good profit off giving it a try and it worked?
